Aircon regas R134a and R1234yf

If your car air-con stops working it’s easy to say that you need an aircon regas.

Aircon gas R134a is the most common refrigerant used in vehicles as it is used in all vehicles made before 2014. As of 2017, a new type of air conditioning gas is required by law for all new vehicles, this gas is called R1234yf. Aircon regas isn’t usually part of your annual vehicle service so if your vehicle is over 2 years old then a recharge is probably due.

You can find out which gas you need by checking the black & yellow label in your vehicle’s bonnet. It is the responsibility of the customer to check before booking so we bring the right air con machine.

Your aircon can keep you cool in the summer hot months, but remember that it can also keep you warm on those wintery days and help de-mist your windscreen at a faster rate. Keeping your air-con system in good condition gives you year-round comfort.
